What should I wear for an interview at a jewelery store?

Question

I have just applied for a job at a jewelery store, and incase I get called up for an interview I want to have some clothes ready to wear. I need to buy some new ones as I don't really have any of the corporate/formal clothes that I see people wearing at the jewelery store I want to work in.

Can you please help with any suggestions, pics and links to places would be nice. Thank you.

i would go simple but professional. a skirt and nice shirt. even though its a jewelry store i would not wear tones of it. maybe earrings, bracelet or necklace. you can find lots of nice clothes at a consignment store. my friend owns one and sells nice clothes there for reasonable prices. have it ready to go and good luck to you

Go for simple chic, something that is cute but not over the top like you are trying to hard. I would wear a cute summer dress with a cardigan or a pencil skirt with a simple top with heels (probably your best bet!)If you own any of the jewerly they sell then wear that, or else go with simple jewerly such as pearls or silver hoop earrings. Since you would be working at a place of fashion, they want you to look presentable and sophisticated so wearing something like that is key on an interview.

no, but really, it ought to be a conservative version of your age.

I would say either a pencil or pleated skirt, depending on your body type and comfort level. A nice 3/4 sleeve cardigan and under shirt would be nice. You could do a neutral tone top and add a piece of jewelry (NOT from the store, that just screams butt-kisser) to pop, or you could wear a bright color top and add a bit of flash with some earrings and a ring, or kinda add a bit of flare (and insure you are remembered) by wearing an interesting (NOT gaudy) brooch. There was an episode of s*x and the City where one of the characters wore a silver octopus brooch, and I've always remembered that. (the show isn't important, it's the fact that it stood out).

Just be sure you stand out in a positive way, and wow them with your personality and maybe brush up on your jewelry knowledge (cuts, sizes, metals, etc)

Wear the jeans that are tight around the very bottoms of your legs, a black short sleeve botton-up shirt, a apple red headband with your hair wavy/curled, a pearl neclace and matching bracelet, an plain black flats. Perfect cut outfit! Hope it helps. ( at least try it on)
