  1. just because you're older and short heavyset doesn't mean you should look like a sack of potatoes. so Go shopping to one of those "cruiswear" shops and buy your self some smart slacks with pretty tops and take along a nice evening dress, for the formal nights(1 or 2?) you can get some really nice shorts that will flatter your figure without being "Baggy" Baggy is for the very young skinny people. don't make that mistake by thinking just because it's IN fashion. Fashion is what EVER you feel good in. Go get your toe nails painted and your finger nails to match, have your hair styled and then just go have fun   and don't worry about what you HAVE to wear. you'll see all sorts of fashions on a cruise , from chic to ugly and nobody gives a hoot....

  2. just be casual! and enjoy it!

  3. A poncho or a kaftan

  4. Buy somethings you feel good in, especially if you like the colour or pattern. People will see pretty and not that you are pleasingly plump.

s**y is 50% how you feel and the other 50% how others see you...Just feel good and have a ball!

Cool dresses are better for hot weather, or cotton 2 piece matching tops and pants...They tend to make you seem taller.

    Sandals, pedicure....

For the formal nights. You can wear something long ...dressy top and long  black  or matching skirt - long always makes you seem slimmer. However, cocktail dresses are acceptable on formal nights.  That little black or red dress will do!

Mexicans, Latinos and Caribbean men love the heavy set woman...Show off your shoulders with spaghetti straps!

However the Ship is air-conditioned so have your sweater or top available if you tend to get cold.

  5. I'm also short, older, and was fat until this year. In Mexico, it will be hot there, so I wore cotton loose shorts, and loose t shirts or sun dresses. My swim suits are ones with shorts or a skirt over the suit. Mexico is very casual, so don't worry about fancy things except for formal night. I still took comfort into everything I brought and anything with tops that cover all the bad parts. The main thing about cruises which I love is always remember what ever you do or wear or act, you will never see these people on the ship again, so feel free to be as silly as you want and have a great time.

  6. ~ shorts, baggy knee length is in,,,,,,nice T-shirt or button down shirt ( Not tucked in) and sandels  ( without socks)  ,,,, all I can say is if you wear your shirt tucked in and sandels with sock,,that is such a no no,,,,,,,,,,other than that,,,,,your in ,,,,,

enjoy,,,,,,,,relax,,,,,,,,,and relax and enjoy..........its a cruise,,,,,everyone on board is there to relax,,,,and enjoy......one helpful hint,,,,,,find out the cruise Itenerary,,,its ok to ask your travel agent what type of clothes is appropriate for your particular cruise,,,,,,,,because some cruises are casual and some are more formal........
