What should I wear to AFL game?

Am going to an AFL game for the first time tomorrow: are shorts and thongs OK to wear (Eagles vs Lions)

  1. You can wear just about anything. Team colours and being a 5.40 game a jumper and maybe pants could be recomended.

  4. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in it doesn't matter what you wear,

  5. This time of year - watch for sunburn!  Or is that a night game :-)  Moon burn can be a real prob!

    Other than that stay comfortable!  Take lots of drinks with you - water or fill your thermos with red wine or your favourite mix!  Beer's too expensive at the ground and doesn't keep well in a thermos!  

    Always take something warmer to wear in your bag covering your wine glasses (which have to be plastic).  And the red wine is Ribena if anyone asks - it's important because you're diabetic!!!

  7. You didn't say who you supported. If you are a Collingwood supporter it's important to remember to bring your teeth.

    If your an Eagles supporter you probably need some ice for the after party.

    That would be for the drinks of course.

    It will probably be cold later in the night though.

    I wore shorts and thongs a couple of weeks ago, mind you it was 40 deg celcius in Adelaide !!

  13. your team colours, shorts and thongs would be ok if its there colours but if its cold then you wont enjoy the game in thongs and shorts

  14. wear camouflage gear. you never know when there might be a terrorist attack and if you can blend into the background it will hasten your escape.
