  1. I went a couple of years ago to my daughters and we just wore nice pants and blouses.

    My son wore his uniform.

It was great. Be prepared to see your loved one looking in the best shape of his life.

Tell him (her) congrats for me.

  2. Dress casual

  3. comfortable, but nice.  I'd stay away from heels.. there is a long walk to the drill hall and it's bleacher seating.   remember what you wear will reflect on your Sailor.. so if you show up looking like a s***k or a dirtbag, it will reflect badly on HIM.

  4. Dress Blues and Tennis Shoes............Civilians are not held to any "standard" .... Dress for church and you can't go wrong

  5. You should dress comfortably, but there's one thing to remember. This is a right of passage for your son or daughter; they will only ever pass in review from basic training once in their entire lifetime. In my opinion it is every bit as important as graduation from High School and/or college. The effort, sweat and tears that they have put forth over the past months to persevere and earn the right to call themselves sailors deserves to be recognized; which is EXACTLY why they pass in review, they do NOT graduate. Graduation implies the end of something, the culmination of ones effort in one single event. When sailors pass in review, they mark the beginning of a life changing event  as they join their brothers and sisters in the fleet and the brotherhood of the sea.
