  1. This is pretty far up the corporate ladder. My recommendation is to dress age appropriate, i.e. if you are 40, don't dress 20. Because you are interviewing for a District Management position, I would suggest a business pant suit, light on the jewelry and make-up, including very little perfume. Appropriate shoes, low heals or flats, not spikes. For an interview, I would suggest wearing your hair up - if it is long. If you have tattoos, be sure they are covered. Good luck.

  2. Good info above.  Conservative appearance is very important in an interview.  I would go along the lines of a suit; you can’t overdress for an interview, as people remember more about what you wear than you personal features.  Don’t go in with anything pink or lime, and make certain your shoes are shined.

Moreover, eye contact, posture and a good handshake go a long way.

  3. If you're unsure what to wear, always go conservative. Don't wear anything flashy or revealing. Keep any jewelry/ear-rings/makeup to a minimum and don't put on perfume. The people interviewing you, if it's a quality organization, will care less about your personal looks than they do your business appearance.

Being a male, I'm afraid I cannot make a greater set of recommendations than that.

  4. The DM is always a cut above the staff in terms of salary. The basic rule of thumb when interviewing for upgrade positions is, dress like you already have the job.  Not that you have to wear Dior, but be conservative and trendy.  I know sometimes teen clothing stores are mostly trashy, flashy stuff, so you'll want to be careful in your choices of clothes for this one.

Do you have anything from that store that you could put together in a conservative/professional outfit? A black jacket, light colored blouse and pinstripe dress pants or jeans with heels?

Something like that reflects your organized thinking and your ability to make good choices. As a DM, you'll be the example for the store managers each time you visit, and your image should reflect the good business style of the company.

Congratulations! Good luck with your interview.

  5. Hmm how about something professional? -sarcasm-

Black dress pants, a professional colored button down shirt, closed toe black shoes, and maybe a blazer. It's the same answer everyone gives the 5385763857 other people who have asked this question on Yahoo Answers.

  6. No sports coat A nice one color blouse . A coin toss for jeans. Dress shoes like Kennith Cole or Dinnky to finish the look.
