  1. Casual, jeans are your best bet with what you feel goes best with them.

  2. dress for outdoors cuz youll be outside in the texas heat. I wore shoes and jeans pants and it was a bad idea. youll be on your feet a lot so high heels and dress are a no-no. Shorts and walkin shoes or comfy sandals are good.

  3. Dress up like a fireman.  See who you can trick.

  4. If you mean an ACL show taping, it's in a climate controlled studio and people are usually anything between casual and a little dressed up. It shouldn't really matter either way, since you'll just be sitting in the audience.

If you mean ACL Fest, you can wear whatever you want, but keep in mind you'll be walking all over Zilker park (grass, mud if it rains) to go from stage to stage, so you'll probably want comfortable walking shoes. If you want to sit, you'll have to bring your own chairs/blankets.  If you don't have the 3-day wristband, there is no re-entry so you'll have to carry everything with you that you'll need.  Other than that it really depends on the weather - it's rained at least once making the whole park really muddy, but more often it's blazing hot, and there's very minimal shade.  So you'll probably want a hat, sunglasses, warm weather clothes, and definitely some sunscreen.  Oh, and lots of cash, since you can only bring in like 2 bottles of water and you can't bring in any food.

  5. DONT wear high heels or platforms. If you like getting up close to the bands you might hit a moshpit so sneakers/convers that wont fall off are good, but if you are content with sitting off in the backish area you might want to consider sandals. This is outside and gets really hot, so make sure you wear something comfortable.

Dresses are usually cool enough to wear, but remember you are going to sweat and get probably really dirty! You might want to wear a pare or shorts underneath just in case. I've been to ACL many times and there is no place to sit, so maybe a chair is a good idea, and it gets REALLY HOT! Water is always a good idea, a hat would be helpful to keep the sun out of your eyes, and bring sun screen.

Good Luck and I hope you have fun!!!

P.S. Our weather is always 100 degrees or more so be ready for it.
