I'm assuming you mean a semi-formal dance. I'm also assuming this is for high school. My last assumption, since your name is Brandon, is that you're a guy. This means at the very least, you must wear slacks/dress pants and a dress shirt. You should NOT wear jeans, shorts, t-shirts, open-toed shoes, bandannas, or hats. Things such as ties, sweaters, and jackets are optional.
