What should I wear under a rental wetsuit?

I'd go commando if I was wearing my own wet suit, but I'll be renting one. What should I wear underneath?

Just wear a regular swim suit and a t-shirt. Unless you have some track tights, under armor, or something that maybe would be better fitting and not bunch up.

This is going to sound odd, but when I borrowed a wetsuit, my friend told me to either wear a speedo or regular underwear.  They recommended the speedo as water might get in the wetsuit and cotton underwear would become uncomfortable.

You should wear a swim suit and a rash vest or t-shirt because otherwise the wetsuit could rub you and you won't enjoy yourself as much

I always wear my swimsuit and rash vest when i go jetskiing

But if you wear a drysuit instead you can put it on over your normal clothes

swim suit! i always wear one under mine! actually even my instructor and divemaster did!
