What should I wear with bright red shorts?

I'm going to an amusement park with a friend of mine tomorrow and I want to wear these shorts--what can I wear them with?

my friend has shorts like that from american apparel. She wore this green shirt with subtle flower designs and it looked surprisingly cute, it didn't clash weird or anything. You could also wear a light blue or white top, or something eyelit or lace.

What about something gray? Or, if you wanted to take the funky approach, you could top'em off with a slightly different shade of red...or even pink!  Pairing/mixing different hues of the same color base is supposed to be all the rage.

Black is always a safe colour, but it really depends on how brave you are.  Purple or a deep blue, but whatever colour you choose make it a dark colour. A mixed coloured top would work, but not bright colours.  If the shorts are really bright, all anyone will see is the clothes and not you.....have a gr8 day out  :)

A vintage black shirt, or one with a band logo. Or you could get away with a white shirt that has a bold logo. Just make sure that the colors don't clash!

Make the focus of the outfit the splash of color in the shorts.  A white top with a little lace would compliment them nicely.  Layering also looks good with shorts so you could put a lacy camisole under the tank top.  A shirt with an umpire waist or baby doll shirt looks great with a pair of shorts as well.  It gives a nice feminine touch and hour glass figure.

Oh those are too cute. Well... I think you should wear a white shirt with a red design on it or you could go for plain white. Just make sure to dress comfy since this is a park. Black wouldn't do to harsh especially if you wear some cute red jewelry but it will be hotter in the sun.

if you're going on rides and stuff wear a top that isn't loose, like a dark band T-shirt or vintage t-shirt. but nothing bright, that'll take away from the shorts (which are, btw, freaking awesome!!) maybe some dark flats to go with or just any cute shoes
