So I still learning to ice skate but I can skate forwards and backwards pretty good and I can also stop. I can go in a circle when I put pressure on one foot if that counts for anything lol. I was just curious what I should start working on.

Thanks ahead a time!

  1. Good things to try to do would be like to start on a figure eight cause those are so popular for skaters. If you want you could start off with like a jump or a skip or just trying to land on both feet. Also you could practice stopping or landing nice and fresh so that you would be so good at it it wouldn't be a difference when you do a hard jump!

  2. Here is the list of some the stuff I learned (or will learn soon) in lessons in order:

    1 foot glides

1 foot curves (inside then outside edges)

    Forward Stroking

    Sloaloms

    Backwards 1 foot snowplow

moving 2 foot turn (going forward and turning to go backwards)

    Forward Crossovers

    Backwards 1 foot glides

    Backwards Crossovers

  3. Try Crossovers!  You put one foot over the other while you go in a circle.  You can do it forwards and backwards!

  4. forward and backward crossovers

    2 foot spin

  5. Try to do that spin with one foot that figure skaters do.
