Question:

What should I write on a sign to get Ken Griffey Jr's autograph?

I have a ball signed by every starting player of the 1995 Seattle Mariners (including Randy Johnson & Lou Pinella). The only starting player I am missing on the ball is Ken Griffey Jr. This is the year they came back to beat the Yankees in the playoffs. I have been trying to get him to sign it since 1995 without any luck...I just haven't seen him signing at games. Since he will be retiring soon, I am going to step up my efforts and make a sign. What should I put on the sign to grab his attention and increase my chances? It should be somewhat short so I can make the letters big. Any ideas are very much appreciated!

  1. Try to get seats close to the field first of all. Just put on the sign "I have all of the signatures for the '95 Mariners except for youJr.!" and on the back put something like "Will pay up to 100 dollars!" Honestly a player like him will charge you for it. Try to get it for free first though!

  2. $100 bucks for signature!!!

  3. Ken Griffey Jr,

    Can I have your Autograph?

    Thanks.

  4. I would put, "too bad you're a fragile, egotistical, jerk JR! or you would be the home run king right now!!"  and then when he punched you in the face, you could get comped by the team, and jr would feel bad and sign your ball.

  5. He NEVER signs autographs at games.  NEVER.  Not gonna work.  You gotta catch him off the field and pay him for it.

Addit: As he's leaving the stadium after the game.  I don't know where GAB's player parking lot is, but that's probably your best bet.

Other than that, a road game at the player hotel, or at a random restaurant if you happen to run into him.  DON'T interrupt him while he's eating, though, wait till he's about to leave.
