  1. Anywhere around 12-14 volts is normal.  When your car is on I would expect around 13.8-14.4 volts if your charging system is good.  If it is much lower then that you may have a problem.

If your car is off then around 12 volts is where it should be.  Again, much lower then that and you have a problem.

    Good Luck!!!

  2. A capacitor, that says it is 1 farad is one farad, the voltage of the capacitor should be the same as the voltage it is connected to or greater. Capacitors can be used, made as Filters, or to hold a charge(similiar to battery), or to block Direct Current (D.C.), or used in tuning circuits, power supply(s) etc. Amplifier capacitors are similiar in application, and should work no problem, interchange, but make sure farad number is the same and voltage is the same or greater. Note; some capacitors are polarized, either one lead is a lot shorter than the other meaning positive/ negative polarity, or negative marking on capacitor for one lead (- - - -), negative wire, or black for ground, red for positive. If unsure always ask someone who knows, professional.

  3. it should read battery voltage of 12.4  car off to 14.4volt car running

  4. 1 farad = 1 coulomb/volt

  5. Depends on the education. If kindergarten only, maybe comic books. If out of college, could be anything from Shakespeare to Moby d**k.
