  1. I think when I turned thirteen I asked for an etch and sketch.  Totally didn't get it - bummer.

    I'd ask for jewelry - to be frank.  Some real stuff - not plastic gunk.  A set of real gold earrings or a bracelet or something.  That's the kind of stuff you can always have and look back on.  When you're 25 you may have a better Ipod/lappie/cellie.  But a beautiful piece of jewelry never gets outdated.  It's something you can keep forever to remember 13.  And pass along way later in life.

    I got a lovely birthstone ring for my 14th birthday.  My parents thought it was a lovely gift for a young woman.  Which it was - I loved it and wore it every day.  It fell off playing soccer one day - I'd lost weight and it didn't fit properly.  Very sad.  They bought me another ring for my grad present.  I adore it.

  4. Lots of make up and girly spa stuff and books on how to do your make up, make your own cosmetics and do your own spa treatments at home. Oh, and a big manicure/pedicure set, a foot bath and a facial sauna

  10. i just turned 13 and my mom did this she gave me $250 as my birthday gift and drove me and my freind to the mall (he used his own money of course) he brought $50 from his savings any way it turned out preety good i bought 2 seasons of the office 2 seasons of the simpsons ( both on sale) a video game a shower radio, some nice headphones and some other stuff it was awsome
