What should a 9 year old do over the summer and not get bored? (once again its my sis)?

Take her 2 a lake park 2 feed the ducks, maybe 2 a playground, go 4 an ice cream, go 2 a movie, ride bikes, rollerblade, scooter, swimming, or go shopping! A sibling relationship is crucial 4 later in life and I don't think it's fun 4 a 9 year old 2 do work in the summer! I sure wouldn't have wanted 2 do work during the summer 7 years ago at that age!

Yes the park is good but you might want to check out the movie theater to see if they have summer specials. They might have movies that are FREE. Maybe have the 9 year old come up with a list of movies that she is interested in seeing from Hollywood Video, Blockbusters, etc (where ever you live), and have a movie party with a few of her friends. Have a nail & hair party with her friends as well. Make necklaces and bracelets out of beads.

Go swimming, ride bikes, take walks, play basketball or catch, anything outdoors. Go to the library, most of them have summer reading programs and they do really neat stuff.

Vacumning, dusting, mopping floors, cleaning the bathtub...I have found that these things cure boredom very quickly.

Enroll in different summer camp. You can actually select various summer camp for like 2 weeks long each, such as, art, acting, modeling, swimming, karate, soccer... etc. I'm sure she won't be bored.

well my sis is 9 years old! and she goes online and plays games, watches her favorite shows on youtube lol....she plays with her nintendo ds lite and sometimes we go outside and ride our bikes=] I'm 15 and I can't drive yet so my mother takes us to the wave pool and sometimes we go to the park to play volleyball, she could also hang out with her friends!
