  1. i gotta say bro the trail bikes arnt hard to ride. they have no zip but they run great. maybe look used for a smaller trail bike. ride it for a few months save more money and buy a big trail bike im about the same specs as u (add 15 pounds) and i race a crf250r. this brings me to my next point if u get a race bike u are going to be in over your head. race bikes are built for just that racing and will buck ur *** off when they get the chance.

  2. CRF 230s are awsome i have one and they are the boom and they are pretty fast i got mine going 75 with some throttle left. u will love it.

  3. dude CRF250R is the way to go  trust me you will grow into it im 16 and have a RM250 and im 150lbs you will be fine!

  4. A CRF 230f should do fine.

  5. get a 2 stroke 85 or 100 or 125. or get a crf 100f dont go past 125 on a first bike. you will probably not be able to get out of 3rd gear for a while and you'll probably wreck because some of the bigger bikes have a lot of power

  6. You should start small and work your way up. 2 wheels are so different from 3 or 4

once YOU feel comfortable, like the tool man says more POWER, but learn the ropes of a 2 wheel first. why become a paraplegic for thrills

  7. The crf230f would be good for the very begining of learning but you will soon tire of it as it is a basic trail bike.  I think you would probably be better off with a 250f.

  8. No, that should work pretty good for you

  9. I'm 17 and have a honda CRF 230!  I love it its just perfect for me.  I started driving dirtbikes when i was 5 and started with a honda 50 then to a 70, 100 and then 2 years ago I made the jump to the 230.  It's real nice and I won't ever need another dirtbike.

They're real easy to run too, so it shouldn't be too much for you.  I can run one like a piece of cake and it doesn't have to much power for me, and I'm a girl.

  10. im 14 and on a yz125 its perfect for me but since your new to the sport mixing oil and gas will probably wont be to your liking get a crf250r it has been rated a smmoth ride so it will be good for you a 230 will disapoint you like the other guy said belive i thought about it to til i rode one i almost broke the dang think jumping it like a mx bike so a 250 is a good choice for you cause you cant out grow it and once you get good then you will have a blast my yz is the first bike ive owned and im already racing and ive only had it a month in ahlf so a 250 is a good choice.

ps.if you want to learn how to jump and stuff of that nature buy a instructional video and just watch a bunch of ridign video it helped me alot.

  11. The 230 is gutless and will disappoint you as soon as you are comfotable....

Get the CRF250/YZ250F something of that nature
