  1. your best reference in an aircraft emergency is to follow the step by step instructions in the phamphlet found in the backs of plane seats. As a passenger my most important and advice request would be for you to remain calm. I dont know if oyu are and dont mean to sound rude, just honest, maybe you shouldn't be a flight attendant until you can answer the question yourself

  2. extinguish all cigarettes put your head between your knees and kiss your butt goodbye

  3. In the event of an emergency, it is the flight attendant's job to help the passengers.

They calm the passengers when there is strong turbulence, or direct passengers to evacuate during emergency landings.

They make sure the passengers are instructed in the use of the safety equipment onboard the air-craft, as well as inform them of what to do in-case of emergencies.

  4. -call 911

    -make me a coffee

-tell everyone "thank you for flying with us"

  5. PRAY

  6. How bout a real world example of what *not* to do?  Back in '97 (give or take a couple years), we had a passenger loading door that fell off an ATR 72 right after take-off, at about 300 feet - the plane wasn't even pressurized yet.  ATR's load from the rear of the aircraft, and what the F/A in the back jumpseat did, was to immediately unbuckle her harness and start running up the aisle.  There was not a single empty seat, by the way.  Now, I don't know if the cockpit has a "door ajar" light, or if the other F/A calmly used the handset to notify the captain, but in any case, he declared an emergency, came round and landed safely, while passengers held on to the poor unseated flight attendant.

    True story.
