What should air temperature be coming out of vents on my air conditioner at home?

  1. Somewhere between 15 and 18 degrees below the temp of the air going into your return air vent.

  2. It will vary with the load and whether or not a problem exists with your a/c.

    Rule of thumb is between 16-20 degrees differential between the supply and return air temp.

    If you have a 74 return air temp then a 58 supply temp would be acceptable or a 80 return and a 64 supply would be acceptable.
