I'd like the pro illegals to answer to see their opinions but obviously the question is open for all.

For those of us opposed to the idea I'd like opinions that ASSUME amnesty is a foregone conclusion and what you think should be done first and foremost to prevent this from happening once again as the amnesty of 86 didn't prevent. Thanks

  1. Nothing. We the people will not allow shamnesty.

  2. 1) neither canidates can dictate immigration policy. Bush tried with shamenesty and the nightmare act but failed.

    2) You don't get  to vote for the president! You vote the parties select delegates to the electoral college (most of which can vote any way they like) and even if every thing went according to plan you only need less than 30% of the people to vote for you to win! Talk about jury rigged!

    3) The people have spoken and congress has listened!

    4) prevention? If found in the country as an illegal you are executed without trial! That should slow them down at least!

  3. I assume nothing but note that the chain migration aspect of the 86 amnesty is what flooded the process so some countries have decades long waits.  Are you assuming allowing chain migration, also?

  4. Basically the amnesty before didn't work because the borders were left unsecured.

I would like to see certain illegals get a chance at staying here. No criminal record, never used food stamps or welfare. Pay a fine. Do some community service. Not be able to collect welfare. If they get sent to jail, their papers automatically voided and deported.

  5. i think we are going after the wrong people. we should be going after the companies that hire illegals instead we have no balls to stand up against the big companies so we pick on the little guy. cowardice has taken over being courageous.

  6. Obviousley the government wants us all to be peasants, how can we possibly keep paying to support all these poor people that are costing billions compared to what they contribute? We will be no better  off than Mexico if more amnesty is passed.  Are you saying New World Order is inevitable? With the two candidates we have to pick from, Im affraid your right,Americans missed the boat when Ron Paul didnt get elected.

Edit:  It seems like when our immigration laws were inforced we didnt have this problem, so that might be a  good start.
