Why would you call this "nonsense"?  

It's simply basic Newtonian physics.  It requires more energy to move a large mass than a small mass.

And it doesn't take a study to know that a person that consumes 0.50 cows/year is effectively utilizing more agricultural acreage and associated energy than a person that consumes 0.25 cows/year (all other things being equal).

well, yes cant argue with that. also, as i remember from being a fat lass in my youth, you want a lower ambient temperature, so that saves on heating costs in cold climates but raises costs in countries in hot climates that use air conditioning.

oh what a crock of sh*t. If someone wants to be fat whats the problem with that?!?!? Maybe for healthcare reasons everyone should pay a tax on unhealthy food like we do on ciggarettes. But just b/c someone is skinny and eats horrible and just doesn't gain weight doesn't mean they aren't setting themselves up for a future heath nightmare. And just b/c someone has a slow metabolism doesn't mean they eat all that much worse than someone who isn't obese. Some people are built skinny and some fat.

the legal precedent has already been settled when we allowed the tobacco law suits to stand.

now there is no legal way to prevent the government from penalizing people for consuming excess calories or unhealthy food(as determined by bureaucrats).this was all predicted during the legal fight over tobacco consumption, but people seemed to think it was a joke back then.

Government control of diet. They are taxing cigarettes, so... put a tax on food that obese people eat until they are at the governmental standard fo health.  They could check your weight at the store and assess the tax at check-out.
