  1. Use blank DVD-R to ensure DVD player compatibility.  Then, use a program like Nero and burn the movie as a DVD video.  The files need to be in a VOB format. If your movie is in an AVI, MPEG or any other format, you will need to convert the movies first before burning the files to DVD.
