What should employees do when the come across a hazard in a workplace?

i know you have to report it, but to whom, what actions are required etc.

  1. Report it immediately to your supervisor.  Follow up in writing as soon as possible.


  2. As the two previous posters wrote immediately report to OSHA.  The problem I have with you reporting this situation to your managers/supervisor is they may view you as being a trouble maker and find the lamest of excuses to terminate your employment.  At least if you file a complaint with OSHA and they terminate you, you will have legal recourse on the grounds of retaliation and whistleblowing laws.  Trust me the company will lose.  

  3. Report it to the immediate supervisor immediately, so that no employee is in danger. If no action, call OSHA and they well kick tail if the hazard is not eliminated.

  4. You need to let your immediate manager kow about it.  Depending upon what it is he/she could take different steps to resolve it.

  5. Report it to OSHA Occupational Safety and Health addm.

    They will tell you what all laws are for the workplace
