What type of medicines and things will a horse owner need and for things before the vet gets here?

Meds wise it's always good to have a tube of bute and a tube of Banamine on hand.  Bute is a pain reliever, Banamine is an anti-inflammatory it's generally the first thing to do for a horse with colic.  It also never hurts to have a sterile eye wash, Bandage scissors which can be used safely near skin if an animal gets tangled in something, a twitch could also come in handy if you have a horse who must remain still to prevent further injury, a flash light would be an excellant thing to have too.  The more you can have in one area the less chance you'll be looking for some thing that was there yesterday but you can't find when you really need it.

    2 sets of standing bandages (inner and outer)
