My hubby and I have been trying to conceive for a while now (18 months). I just made him an appointment with the urologist for next Monday. What can I tell him to expect at that first visit? Should I go with him? I've been checked and dr. thinks everything looks fine but he want husband to get check out before he does any real tests. I'm kinda worried because my hubby told he about how he was hit really hard when he was 10 by a piece of metal and was urinating blood for 2 days. Do you think this could be causing problems even though he was so young at the time? sorry, lots of question....

  1. I don't know about the injury your dh had but I can tell you about my dh experience.  He was a total baby about it (as most guys are) thinking that doing "that" in a doctors office was totally weird.  Your husband can make his contribution at home, but then you have to worry about getting it to the office within a certain time, and have to put it down your pants or under your arm to keep it room temp.  I went with my dh, but stayed in the waiting room.  He went back to a room with lots of magazines and a nice leather couch with the doctor paper on it (how funny is that).  The nurse told him she has people come in for this 20 times a day.  He was in and out in no time and got a lollipop at the end (again how funny).  Two days later we got the test results.  Good luck to you and your ttc efforts.  Hope everything comes back ok!
