I'm a 13 yr old and I'm American Red Cross babysitter certified. I was wondering, how much should I charge per hour for babysitting?

  1. You should charge ABOUT minimum wage. If you charge a little less, you may get alot more jobs though. I would never pay someone $20 to watch my 2 kids for 2 hours. I pay about $7 an hour for 2 kids. A good idea might be $5 an hour and then $2 extra an hour for each additional child.

  2. $5 per hour per kid. So two kids for two hours would be $20

  3. I live in maryland they charge between 8-10 $

  4. I charge about $8, because it's about minimal wage over in MA. I would say, charge at least minimal wage for at least one kids... and if there are more than one, than charge maybe $5 a kid.

Sometimes, i often have friends of the family, who ask if I can babysit their kids... in that case, I usually just keep it $5 an hour, regardless of how many kids they have...

  5. Depends on the child and age. I only charged $2 dollars an hour ber kid vvhen I use to babysit, hovvever that vvas 8years ago so the rate probably has changed since then. lol

  6. i think you should be spending more time worrying about your education than some extra spending money.....but thats just my opinon i would not ask a 13 year old child to be responsable for another child
