  1. Everything? Well...: harder work, long nights, sleep depravation, cranky friends, moody lifeless teachers, and real life - grades really matter in high school...unlike middle school. Don't worry though, you ease into it slowly and it isn't scary at all-it just prepares you for life! Good Luck!

  2. Its not too much different than middle school!

Im a junior in high school now and from personal experiance I can say that as long as you dont run around acting all big and tough trying to start fights or anything you should do great! Also dont look confused nervous or scared becaus then everyone else knows that its you first year just relax and everything will work out perfect!

    Good luck!

    :D

  3. the first day or the entire year? (thank u for clearing that up!)

    **edit**

    ok first day:

summer h/w: dont forget it on the 1st day! (if u have any)

people: in all honesty i dont think the seniors are as bad as movies portray them as... just try not to embarass yourself

classes- try to schedule a walkthrough through the school before school starts or get a map of the building

supplies to bring: a notebook (or a binder or paper), pens and pencils (& extras for people who forgot), and a bag to put textbooks if handed out on the 1st day

Friends: if u know people going there... awesome!!

if u wanna make some more... relax, smile, be friendly, and just be yourself

Lunch: try to make friends in some of your classes and try to sit with them... if that doesnt work out be assertive and dont look nervous if ur sitting on the edge of a table

    The whole year:

    ok...

dont go crazy applying to every single activity that u want to do because u have to balance ur grades and all that stuff

homework: the HS i go to doesnt give way too much h/w... but just be prepared for anything

classes: pay attention as well as possible,

try not to be late for classes or forget books (no school my friends or i know that u can get out of class and the teachers let u take your books... soooo BE RESPONSIBLE!!!!),

have the appropriate supplies (binder, paper, pens, pencils, or whatever!)

    & good luck

  4. a lot of homework. haha. but yeah dont stress or anything about freshman year because honestly just like everything else people exaggerate about how bad it is. the worst part is homework. personally i got pennies thrown at me but as a joke by my friend haha. dont worry youll be fine. otherwise its so much better than jr high because theres wayyy more people. have fun!

  5. idk, i'm going into highschool too.

Im keeping an eye on this.

  6. Learning where all your classes are. Trying to decide extra curricular activities. And eventually boys when your comfortable in your routine.

  7. High school isn't a lot different to primary school, actually. High schools are naturally bigger, but with friends it's alright to get your way around. It also makes it easier if you have other people like, older sisters/brothers around to guide you around.

The work isn't too bad and I'm not finding it hard yet. It's practically the same as year 7 for me anyway.

You also make tons of new friends. I haven't just made new friends from my school as well, I have made new friends from the other high school in town, and they are two of my best friends now.

Our canteen is heaps different as well, but I am so used to it now.

I used to think high school was big and scary and that it was going to be SO different from primary school,  but it isn't really and I love high school so much... I loved primary school heaps and I regret that I didn't do a lot of things so try and hold onto the moments you have at primary school, as you will never get that time again (:
