  1. You should be shootingTequila! Too many people worry about their scores. I have finally realized unless you are Tiger of Phil, score does not matter more than bragging rights at the local club, or a few loss bets throughout the round. Focus on enoying the game and geting away from the office... Practicing 3 times a week is alot, you are fortunate to have the time. 10 months is not a lot of time overall , but 3 times a week at 10 months is over 120 days on the course in less than a year so the score should be getting much lower than when you began.. I am guessing you are playing in the low to mis 80's at this point. Keep up the 3 times a week, scratch wll be in the near future.

  2. well it all depends how good of an athlete you are how much you practise those three times a week. Your equiptment. and also how good mentaly you are with your game. for example if you hit a drive ob then you can recuperate and then hit a good shot. After that time of playing i was shooting low mid nineties.

  3. You shoot your score man. For all of us thats how it goes. But if you want a real guess. Keep your scorecards. Twenty at a time, consecutively. Then find your ten best of these twenty. Now average these. This is where you should set your goal for every round to be. Remember Course difficulty though. A 90 at pebble beach is a lot better than a 90 at a small short flat course where there isn't alot of hazards. You could be amazed at how one bad shot can turn a bad string for 6 holes. So that is why you take your best 10.it will give you a higher standard

  4. It doesn't really matter but you know you are pretty good if you can score under 100 0n a 18 hole course

  5. I am also 15 and on my school's golf team. If you are looking to become captain when you are a senior you have to be really good. My team's captain this year shots consistantley in the mid 70s, same thing with the captain for next year.

  6. There's no such thing as should be.  It all depends on your skills and talent, and the quality of your instructions and practice.

Tiger shot par when he was 12.  I didn't even play golf until I was 27.  And hasn't hit 72 yet in 8 years of playing.

But if you want to be the captain at least you should be in the single digit handicap.

  7. the first thing you should be shooting for is breaking 100.  You're probably not there yet but 100 is a good score for how long you're been playing.

  8. It depends on how many fairways green your hitting, otherwise its all short game if you hacking it around.

Players who hit tons of greens always shoot low but if your all over the place you can still shoot a few over with your short game so it all depends.

  9. it all depends on how long you practice, how productive your practice is, if you take lessons, ect. but probably high to mid 90s if not low 100s

  10. Totally depends on your coordination and knack for the game.   I know people who have been playing for a couple years who cant break 60 for 9 holes.  I work with a guy who shot in the low 50's in his 10 round ever.

Golf is great because your only real opponent is you and your own game.   Keep practicing with purpose(dont just go to the range and mindlessly hit your driver all day) and improvement will come.
