My daughter will be ten on the 30th of July. I am really stuck for ideas as she has pretty much everything she wants. I thought that for one of her gifts I could take her out shopping for clothes and shoes. after that, I have already aranged a day at a beauty salon with top stylists where she can get hair, make-up, nails etc. done. I will then take her and about five friends to the cinema and to a posh meal. I estimate all of this to cost about £600. I am willing to spend any amount on my daughter, but it is usually around the £1,000 mark. What could I get her tat she would really love, bearing in mind she already has things like TVs, laptops, nintendo DS, nintendo wii and wii fit, ipod, mobile phones.

And i don't want you to think that i am one of those parents who just buys my daughter expensive presents because I can't be bothered, i would also aprreciate suggestions of days out we could take together that she would enjoy.

  1. I think the day you have planned is wonderful as it is. The spa treatment will probably be the most fun!

  2. I think that what you mentioned is more than enough. Sorry this doesn't really help but as a lesson if she keeps getting so much she will turn out to be very spoiled.

  3. How about letting her pick out a few things for children who have no toys, shoes, clothes, etc. and drive her and let her give them to them. Lists can be obtained from Churches, Homeless shelters, etc.

Since she has almost everything material, maybe it would be good to now give her the gift of learning how good it feels to help others that have almost nothing.

It might be the best birthday gift she has ever gotten; The good feeling of the GIFT OF GIVING TO OTHERS.

  4. Bring her to the zoo.

  5. umm maybe a bike or something?? maybe you could remodel her room to make it look like and older girls room! umm i have no idea i think you should remodel her room

  6. Why don't you take a trip together instead. My daughter and I took a trip to Disney World when she was 15. Just me and her. It was a blast. We had so much fun together. No schedules, no watches, no phones. (we checked in with dad once a day).

It was a trip we both will remember for ever.
