here's the scenario: I am a personal trainer and my usual rate when i meet clients at the gym is 40$/hr. However, a client of mine happened to be a cheerleading coach for a high school 30 minutes from my gym and is having me condition her girls for competition. I train them 1 hour but it takes me an hour round trip to get there and back for my gym shift. Should I be charging her for both hours?

  1. This is the big question for not just you but others. I would charge or even itomize for the mileage- Give them a bill. Please discuss what these people expect for a price. I think that when i did the same at high schools and I bring 6 large rubber bands, 6 airballs, 3 trxs, three ladders, air pads, 4 medicine balls then I discuss prices when I get there to verify before I unload. If there are twenty girls or people then charge 7 to 10 dollars a person. 140.00 to 200.00 plus ten bucks gas. I mean that is on the low end for pricing. It is typical detroit boot camp pricing. I know this because I have done it.

  2. it is reasonable to do so.  Otherwise, with

gas at 4.24 per gal, you will be losing some gross profits.  Some merchants give a small break and others do not.

YOU did not state what training you are providing.  I guess it is exercises.

IF you create one for males, over age 50,

who need to lose specific amounts of weight, you will have new customers.
