  1. Your undergraduate university doesn't matter if you want to be a doctor. Med schools accept because of quality not because of prestige. Get involved in research, do lots of medical community service, become the president of a club, get as close to a 4.0 as you can, score at least a 29 on the MCAT, and take a science major with a fine arts or humanities minor. Good GP med schools are Wayne State, University of Ohio, University of Wisconsin, Kansas, and lots of the Midwest.


  2. I would say, just to be a more well rounded doctor, take a lot of classes in psychology and child development.  Because weather or not you're dealing with a child or an adult, we're all children, just in bigger bodies.
