Okay, about 2 weeks ago, i quit my summer job at a Starbucks. And ever since that i haven't been lucky finding another job. I have applied at atleast 3 or 4 other places and they haven't called back(its been about 2 weeks). So i need money and i'm getting bored staying home. I can do two things: I can call my summer job from last year and i know they will hire me because the manager called me and said if i was going to go back(but i was already working at Starbucks). But the thing is the pay over there isn't that good i would get $9 per hour. The other thing i can do is wait until the middle of August when more positions open since tourists leave/wait till the other jobs call me. And these jobs pay much better(around $11/$12 per hour). I really don't want to wait, and i need money, but if i take my old job i'll probably need to stay there until the end of summer. What do i do???

I'm only 16 btw

  1. If you can get your old job back, take it. Something's better than nothing and you can apply for the other jobs later.

  2. Take the $9/hr job!!! NOW!!!!

I have a college degree and nobody will hire me because they say I'm "overqualified" since I went to school. So I'm stuck at McDonald's, making $6.50/hr. I was supposed to be going to Hawaii Pacific University for my Master's, but I need to earn a little more money first....hence the job at McDonald's.

So now I'm stuck behind a counter, for 8hrs a day, getting yelled ay by customers because the ice cream machine isn't working.

I WOULD KILL FOR A $9/HR JOB!!! I've applied to 14 jobs, and NOT ONE PHONE CALL!! TAKE WHAT YOU CAN GET! NOW!!!!
