I'm on craigslist looking for cars and i came across a vehicle here in the states.The guy claims he's in the air force and the car is registered here in the US,but he is in the UK with the air force and the car is located there too.He said he's going to use Ebay protection program.Should i do it? Is it legit?

  1. if he's wanting to sell the car in the States, why doesn't he go ahead and ship it to a friend or family  member HERE so that the person wishing to buy it can see it?  more than likely a scam


  2. It's a well-known scam.

    Seller will tell you he's overseas, military, divorcing, etc. The car is priced WAY under what market will bear. The car, in actuality, doesn't exist.

    They'll also tell you that they will ship the car to you, and let you inspect it.

    It's all a well-known scam. Look at the top right-hand corner on Craigslist, under "Avoiding Scams". It talks about this very one.

  4. Don't pay till you have proof that the car exists, check title through search and vehicle condition report.  And in general, not if over $2,000, if a well orchestrated scam, protect yourself, if it's too good to be true, then it's not real.

  5. the ebay buyer protection plan is a scam  do not go through with it , trust me ive experienced it before
