I didn't know i had them because the didn't itch, but the hairdresser told me i did and she couldn't cut my hair.

I have put the chemicals on and combed my hair thoroughly, and I have booked another hairdressers appointment. But I am scared in case they say the same thing,

I am going on holiday tomorrow as well :(

  1. If you are using RID, you can leave it on your head for up to four hours, make sure you use a shower cap on your head as this will help to kill anything that maybe crawling on your head, make sure that you rinse well.  There is a comb that you can buy at the store that is better than what they give in the box, I am not sure of the name of the comb, but it has a yellow handle and long metal prongs that go through the hair, it is similar to a pick (used when women have a perm).  I used it on my kids years ago and worked rather well.  To keep these things from not coming back, get some tea tree oil, place 10 to 15 drops in ANYTHING that goes on your hair.  Also you will want to take a 24 ounce spray bottle filled with water and place 10 to 15 drops of tea tree oil in there and spray all furniture.  Wash your bedding and all clothes place a few drops of the tea trea oil in the washer when it is full with water OR the best thing to do is to take a dryer sheet place 2 drops of the tea tree oil on it, then put the dryer sheet in the dryer with your clothes.  Use the tea tree oil in hair care products for up  to 6 months.  The Lice do not like the tea tree oil.  Has worked very well for me.

  2. Why don't you just cut your own hair. If you have layers, all you have to do is wet your hair, flip over your head and comb it straight down and cut it straight across. You can cut even hair with your head straight up. Just divide into two sections and cut them evenly. If your hairstyle is more complicated, look it up online. If you don't want to then just inspect your hair really really good. If you don't see any more nits then you're probably good to go.
