Well my family has a computer, but its really slow. So I wanted to get a laptop. Until I found out that my french class might be going to france during spring break next year. Me and my friend really want to go, but money is defiantly going to be a problem. I have about $1,100.00 in my savings account right now. I was thinking if I get a job, and work every weekend untill the beginning of April (spring break), then I should have enough money right?
I also really want a laptop so that I could have my own computer that would run faster than my family's, would be blank and empty allowing me to store stuff without having to search forever, and so that i could download some picture editing software like photoshop, because im really starting to get into stuff like photography and editing pictures. And I could just have my own space so that no one else could see what im doing or would be able to look at my pictures and other files.
I think i have enough to get a reasonable computer with $1,100 right? By reasonable I mean a fast, not too expensive, but still a good computer.
Me and my friend really want to go to france, but if i decide to get the computer instead and end up not having enough money from the part time job im going to get soon, then she said that she wouldn't go. So basically if she doesn't go i don't go and if i don't go she doesn't go. And shes one of my best friends i've known her since the beginning of last year and i have practically all of my classes with her this year(which made me really happy =]). So i really don't want to let her down, and this would be an experience we both wouldn't forget. This trip is going to cost about $2,500 so im about half way there. The teacher said that its a better deal then planning the trip by yourself because it could easily add up to $5,000.
If you were put into this situation what would you do? Thanks for the help =]
