What should i do about a boy that both me and my friend both like?

OK, so I've never had a boyfriend before or gone a date. I go to a REALLY small school like 14 people. There is a boy (Sam) I like, I know him from my book club. Only I think that my friend likes him, but she also seem to like the only other boy (Rick) our age, she is kinda a flirt I guess. She seem to like Sam better. Also Sam may have a girlfriend. I'm 14 turning 15 soon, he just turned 15 and she is about to turn 14.

Lord, I've had a very similar problem. I also go to a small school. The best thing to do is talk to your friend. Ask her who she likes. If she says she kind of likes both, tell her to pick one and you'll take the other. Haha. Don't solve it quite that barbarically. Just talk it out with her and explain that you like Sam.

I agree with Thomas N. Friendship is way more important than a boy.
