I am also a vegetairian so they see me as a nerdy goody goody all the time. there is another girl who goes to church every week and serves on the altar as i do but other than that she is popular and i'm not really. do you think i should be more like her, start swearing... first day of school is the best time to change if your going to!

  1. George is right . You stick to your guns. Sometimes the right thing to do is not always the popular thing to do but you hang in there. I have raised teenagers and I know its not easy being one. Just remember it will be over soon and as you carry on into your adult life the values you have now will help you to be a more successful and happy adult. God bless you for posting on here. You have made my day.

  2. You could google a short piece called Desiderata and this would give you lots of ideas I think about how precious is the personality that God gave you. Develop it in the "right" ways, persevere if you don't feel you fit in. Strength of character as you go forward in life is a powerful tool worth far more than being a sheep. Best wishes. UK

  3. No, don't try to copy someone else and assume you'll be popular. Usually others can see when you are putting on a facade and they'll see through it. Just be yourself. Some of people are just more natural with others, make friends easier etc. They have their short comings too. You might not see it but there are probably things about you that this girl admires or wishes she could copy.

The very best thing you can do is be comfortable in your own skin. God loves you, your parents love you. Having a lot of friends may seem important but it isn't. Having a few good friends is all you need. By being yourself you'll make good friends who like you for who you are, not a lot of superficial friends who like you for your image of swearing and being popular.

I was the same way. Even now, I continue to be myself. I'm not super popular, I don't have a ton of friends, but I am comfortable with who I am and the most important thing in my life is God and my family.

  4. dont try to change yourself or compromise your beliefs just for popularity. trust me, it doesnt work and it wont make you happy. if your friends are making fun of you then they arent very good friends, try to find people that understand you, and like who you really are and you will be truly happy

  5. u should never change for sake of others ,,Being good in this world is hard and i`m proud of you sticking to be a good god fearing person,

Be brave  and continue to be the same as you are now.
