What should i do about my sweet sixteen (i'm stressing)???

my birthday is coming right after the new year & i need to start planning. my mom has already booked a hall ( she won't tell me where)

& she wants my sweet sixteen to be very formal (she is old fashioned)

she wants to get special made invitations and all that.

but now i'm having second thought about having a sweet sixteen

the cost of it is ridiculous ( i could get my braces & my other dental work)

anyways what if i put all this effort into a party and nobody comes?

i'm friends with like my whole class in school but see now that means that i'm inviting people who hate each other and i don't want a fight to break out at my party

and a lot of my friends are girls & i want my party to be a mixture of boys and girls ( my party will be terrible if majorly girls came)

my best friend said that i'm only supposed to invite close people to my sweet sixteen

what should i do?

could someone please enlighten me about s16?

i really need some help

Sweet 16 is a halmark holiday. If your parents are willing to waste thousands of dollars, I agree, get dental work done or have them get you a car. Something worth while.

I had a normal party for my 16th birthday and my parents gave me a car. The car lasted. The party would have been over in a few hours. You know? I don't regret my choice at all.

ur accually right invite boys ang guys but try to only invite friends

have a yard sell or somthing to get some more money or get a job

my 16th bday is in september and i dont know what im doing yet

i know my parents wont be renting out a hall and having something fancy

ill prob just go out to dinner w/ my friends and then have some people sleep over

if your worried about fights and money just take 5 0r 6 close  friends out for a dinner then maybe the movies and a sleepover?
