so my xbox live gold ran out and i want to know, should i buy another year and halo 3, or a Nintendo wii. i have enough money foe either one. thanks

It's really up to you.  I'd personally opt for the year of Live and Call of Duty 4 (it's much better than Halo 3 in my opinion).

I would go with XBL and Halo or another great shooter like COD4 or Gears of War 2 which will come out soon.  It really all depends on your taste, though.  If you are into hardcore gaming, like shooters or RPG's(Role Playing)stay with Xbox.  Nintendo hasn't announced any good titles for the hardcore taste unless your into more casual titles like Wii Sports 2.
