What should i do before a race?

I run 100 metre sprint. i have a big race in a week. what should i in the days leading up to it. and on the day. Eg drink red bull

  1. dun drink red bull...my trainer said no good...better dun drink.erm..eat more carbohydrate food and high protein food to provide energy...relax....gambate..

  3. ok..use all the tips and training you know....at the starting point...breathe in deeply...and breathe out as you start to dash from the starting point...for explosive power..breathing is important to give extra push just like martial art and weight training

  4. just be4 3 days slightly jog, don't run cause it might cause you a injury be4 your race.. condition your self with healthy foods,, don't drink too much water.. 1 energy drink per meal is good enough

    yeh u cud go red bull or smfin like that, their basically only sugar lol.

    In the days before u just got to be eating the right foods to get your atp levels to their maximum so you get your very best performance.. not much u can reli do to improve on the day, its wat u do and how u trained that counts

    2 - Go for casual run around your block. No straining though.

    3 - Sleep enough hours.

    4 - Train on your techniques such as reaction to time, Start-off.

    5 - Do some weight training. But don't strain yourself.

    6 - Watch videos of the athletes such as Bolt and g*y.

    7 - Get expert advise from your trainers. Use the advise.

    8 - Listen to music which can hype you.

    9 - No booze.

    10-No masterbation.

    You'll be alright..

  9. Well you should have enough stored energy just to run 100 meters so you dont need to do anything special with your diet. Strides are real important days leading up to a race like that because you want to keep those fast twitch muscles going and ready to race. Drinking water so you dont cramp up during that short period because that tends to happen in shorter distances. Warming up before your race: high knees, but kickers, cherokee and light jogging. Its important to get your blood flowing. Stretch after the warmup particularly the quads and the calfs.
