  1. Supplies-

(depending on your classes and teachers)

definatly a spiral notebook for writing your homework in.

1 inch binder with separation tabs

    LOTS of pens and pencils(200)

gum (seriosly highschool gets boring and chewing makes it better)

    a mirror

    a good sturdy makeup bag

    a small brush

    FLOSS

a little notepad or sticky notes they come in handy

    Book bags-

shoulder bags are very fashion forward

actual backpacks a simple plain colored jansport

!!!never do the shoulder sling bag!!!!

Getting used to early wake up-

clearasil ultra morning burst(works like magic)

go to sleep about 20 to 30 minutes earlyier

a cup of hot green tea in the morning

sounds weird but go to bed with clean feet it rests you body better(you get rid of toxins through your feet and if they are dirty the toxins clog up and make your body feel uneasy)

drink lots of water through out the day

put music on while your getting ready and jam out it'll wake you up.

wake up to a calm alarm so that it doesnt just JOLT you up.

if possible have a family member wake you.

    good luck.

ill be a sophmore next year.

my freshman year was great but i had the same worries:]

  2. let me just tell u to dont make it a habit and wake up late

    my school starts at 7:40

and i get up at 7 it takes me 30min to get ready if i took a shower that night and 10min to get there when my mom takes me

but enough about me for supplies you just need spiral books some teachers perfer binders but who care

    and pens and yes pencils

    thats mainly it

  3. pencil/paper

and getting used to early waking up i read somewhere that if you always wake up early even on weekends it breaks the habit and you not tired anymore because you're off your natural sleep cycle.. but if you can want to wake up at 5am ont he weekends idk.. lol i dont i would rather suffer than complain about how tired i am all day

  4. Supplies - Usually the teachers aren't super strict on the first day. I would bring one binder,a notebook or two, and a pencil case.

Bookbags - I use a Jansport backpack. Sturdy and holds a lot of stuff. Much more reliable that totes or messenger bags.

Getting used to early wake up - Now this may not work for you, but I wake up every morning to go for a couple miles-long jog. It really wakes you up. Maybe you could also invest in a "morning" facewash. Clearasil and Neutrogena makes them. Use an alarm clock. Sleep well the night before, and eat a nutritious breakfast! Eggs are really good brain food.

  5. nothing its just like middle school your just taller lol do what you do best smile and have fun oh i guess laern to lol seriusly theyll tell you what you need your first day ive been to 9 high schools i know oh yeah dont wear ur bag on both shoulders like a nerd one shoulder it thats it theyll ok every class including gym will give you a list well youll have to copy it down so bring a binder and a note book 2 number two penciles a red pen a black or  blue red is for corrections youll see good luck if you have any other questions holla

  6. I'm not going to type out everything everyone else wrote--but for the most part, I agree with other people's ideas.

So yes, be yourself, stay clear of the bad crowds...and for classes, make sure you stay pretty organized.

  7. realize that if you don't make a difference and do something big no one will remember you so be yourself and don't care at all about what anyone else thinks.

  8. Getting used to waking up early and EATING BREAKFAST is very important.

After that, it will depend on what classes you have. You may need a good calculator, a translating dictionary of you are taking a foreign language, that kind of thing.

We always made sure the kids had a secret pocket in their bag or someplace for a few emergency supplies. A tampon or pad, two ibuprofen (the stupidest rule ever is that you can't take an Advil for a headache without a doctor's note at school), a pair of latex gloves (in case someone else gets hurt and you need to help, or you need help and someone else needs to glove up) and five dollars.

    Have a really good time!!

  9. BE YOURSELF. Don't even doubt yourself when someone speaks ill of you :)
