  1. eat a good breakfest

leave plenty of time to warm up and then strech

and then just relax and get ready to run a fantastic race!!

    good luck

  2. Make sure you eat a good breakfast with lots of carbohydrates, like porridge. Mid morning have a piece of fruit, and then at around 1 o clock have a sandwich and banana for lunch. drink around a litre of water during the morning. then 15 mins before the race have some energy drink like lucozade.

warm up for 10 minutes before the race so your muscles are relaxed and ready.

before the race, calm yourself down by deep breathing so your focused on the race.

during the race, i reccomend staying behind the leader or first two leaders, then over take them and start sprinting at around the 200m-100m mark, depending on how much energy you have left and how you feel.

    Good luck x x

  3. Well, im not a very experienced runner, i did the 800m on wednesday- i drank plenty of water, got about 11 hours sleep, drank more water, had a big breakfast, then at lunch i ate loads of carbs, AND i had 3 bananas. and just about 10 mins before the race i had my last banana, they gave me loads of energy!!!

in the last 100m i managed to sprint to the end, and then i was completely shocked because i wasnt at all tired, i still had some energy left in me!

If only i had known earlier in the race i might've managed to sprint the last lap or something....

Bananas are like amazing, they really are. ;-)

Well I hope i sorta helped

    By the way

    Good Luck!
