  1. what do you like to do and do that if your friends think it is stupid then they don't have to come

  2. if i was u i would go to my fav. place 2 eat and invite everyone. they all would have to pay 4 themselfs (but u of course). that way you can hang w/ everyone and then if they have a ride 2 ur house u can invite the girls to a slumber party!!!

  3. Maybe you could have a 50's party at a roller rink.  I don't know if you'd have cake at a rented party room at the rink (money, money, money) or if you'd meet back at the house, which would be a bit of a problem unless some friends' parents agree to help transport everyone.  Still, it could be loads of fun even if you had to share the rink with the general public.  If there's a DJ at the rink, he or she might dedicate a favorite song to you, with a few dollars tip from your mom.

Added comment:  As an after-thought, the roller rink party does seem kind of expensive.

I had a b-day party at a pizza place once.  We had the party room reserved, but they had a 20-person min.  I had a couple of corny games & gave out ridiculous prizes like magnets & incense.  Was planning a sing-along because some people had kids, but there wasn't time after the games & eating.  The little kids colored those pictures so many restaurants provide.   A friend made a big sheet cake for me using my favorite apple cake recipe.  The pizza place provided a stand for the cake.  They gave us fairly good service.  I don't know if they'd let you have the room long enough to watch a video while eating, but that's a thought.  In any case, I had a great time & gave a little spontaneous 1-minute speech thanking them all for coming & saying my only regret was that I couldn't sit next to each & every one of them & sit & chat for 2 hrs. because I loved them all for sharing my b-day celebration.  (It felt like home, only bigger, at least when seating friends for dinner.)
