  1. congratulations on furthering the reach of the montessori method!  here are some websites: www.montessori-ami.org; www.namta.org; www.amshq.org; www.montessori.edu; all those have info and some links for materials.  look for used stuff to on ebay, craigslist and other places, as materials are expensive.  also remember that Dr. Montessori created most of the first materials herself, so be creative.  and just as important as the materials is a dynamic understanding of the method- there is a lot of inspiring literature on Montessori, by Dr. Montessori and others.  Good Luck!

  2. I'm not sure what your background is, but the first thing you should do is find people with a background in Montessori. Let their experiences help you start yours. I think that is very important.

Secondly, I noticed the answer above mine said to get in touch the the "Montessori system," which is very vague. There are several Montessori organizations. The two most well known are American Montessori Society (AMS) and Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). AMS is not quite as rigid as AMI, but AMS is much more rigid than many other small organizations. If you want to start a school, I think you should look into getting an AMS or AMI certification for your school. Those organizations can help you know what you need to have in your school.

You also need to get in touch with the state health department to make sure your building meets all the codes for a place for young children. It is amazing some of the issues that come up.

Lastly, materials are expensive!! Look into ebay (people often sell their old materials) and send letters to schools (nearby) asking them to donate any old used materials they may not need anymore. Start with getting all the basic materials, and if you can make a material easily, make it. Plan on buying it later on when you have more money to use.

There's a lot to do!! Good luck!

  3. check this website out  http://www.montessori.edu/refs.html#scho...

  4. You need to get in touch with the Montoessori system.  I am sure that they have a website and they will help you with the starting of your school.  They will probably send someone out to talk to you and they may even make you even study under someone for a year or two.
