What should i do? get a perm or no?

I have kinda wavy hair. but they are only wavy on the lower hair layer, on the upper layers they are not so straight and not so curly. I'd love to have curly hair like shakira. so should i have a perm? i'm just sick of using all kinds of sprays, curl activators, and expensive conditions to make hair curly...

yeah get a perm then you'll have a nice full head of pupes

I can help you out with this one sweetie! I'm a hair stylist so I have a pretty good I dea what your going through. First off depending on how you style your hair and what products you use is a huge part of it. Do you air dry your hair or use a diffuser on your hair dryer? I want you to know that your hair texture does also change every 7-10 years so if it was curly 5 years ago it could be starting to change. I say go for it and get a perm!! Make sure you go some where and have it done in a salon. If your wanting hair like shakira I DO NOT recommend getting a spiral perm!!! Getting a loose body wave every ones hair responds differently to perms... But remember a perm grows out just like hair color does to...

I think you shouldn't change the way you look. God made you look this way for a reason so don't change it!

perms are terrible for your hair and you hair will get a little thicker and your gonna have to keep doing it. I think you should try a curling iron.
