What should i do i like my friends older brother?

one of my best friends and i hang out but not too much so i don't see her a lot or her brother. but when i do see them i just try and act like i'm not interested in him at all and just try and focus on hanging with my friend. oh yeah forgot to tell ya he's going to be a junior and i'm only going into 8th. i'm really hating this because my friend had told me that he won't go out with anyone that is younger than him. my dad and their moms boyfriend are friends so i guess its kinda cool. plus they moved so now their house is closer to mine.. which i guess is awesome. so the main question is should i keep liking him or just forget about it and stay friends? also is it bad that i like my friends brother?
