i was cooking and i suppose i didn't turn the stove off all the way because 3 hours later when i took my dog out for a walk, i came back in and it smelled really bad of gas- i checked the stove and the k**b wasn't turned all the way to off.

  1. Open all your windows and turn on any fans you may have blowing out the windows. If you have any problems with any electric outlets or switches, whether it be to a light or whatever..do not turn on that light, appliance, use that outlet, etc for a while. The last thing  you need is to create a spark...chances are you should be ok since you already are back in and on your computer. If you start to feel dizzy...get OUT of the house and call the fire department.

  2. It can catch fire. If it ever happens again, turn the stove off, open all windows, doors, put fans on, etc and leave the house for a while as the gas fumes can kill you and all pets in the house.

  3. turn it off...thats scary about the gas smell though... but i don't know what you could do. i don't think you have anything to worry about though.

  4. if the fire was off and gas was just leaking then you should open all your windows and doors to air it out. do not light any fires at all.and it would probably be best not to turn on any electric objects such as a tv or even a lightswitch.

  5. Turn on the ventilator, and get the windows open. That's all you gotta do.
