What should i do if i wrote wrong tax identification number?i wrote my dads business tin instead of mine?

please help..what should i do if wrote wrong tin number in business name instead of my business name tin number?what will happen?do i have to pay for a penalty so i cant be in jail?i came from philippines and i wrote it in the tax forms 1601C and 1601E

  2. What is the tax period? If it is just 1601C and 1601E (withholding tax on compensation and expanded), and you paid the right amount, you will not be jailed :). Although there is a possibility for penalty depending on the time period and amount involved. But the solution is easy, you just have to amend your form. Fill up another form for 1601C&E and change the TIN# and check the amended box at the upper part of the form. Photocopy the wrong filed form and attach it to the newly filled up form, then submit it to your RDO.

    Nobody is perfect and ammendment of forms is legal as long as it is not being done to fraudulently report taxes or to delay payment of taxes.
