What should i do if my xbox 360 has a red ring around the power button instead of a green one?

-this has only happened once and after a few days it was back to green

-i have had it for 8 months

-at first there were 3 rings, then i turned it off and then on and it was a full circle.

A full circle i.e 4 red lights is your av cable just make sure that it is plugged in firmly and it will most likely work for you.

It could possibly the red ring of death ...or one of your cables might not be properly connected Good Luck!

If all 4 controller segments are lighting up around your Xbox 360's Ring of Light, that means that the A/V cables are not firmly or are improperly hooked up.  So just adjust and push in your component, composite, or HDMI cable to fix the problem.
