What should i do if someone gives me stolen credit card info. over the internet??? call the card company?

The card company does not give a rat's a$s.  I have tried to report the same thing when someone tried that with me.  I thought I was being helpful by calling the card company but they told me that the customer had not reported it so there is nothing they can do.
