What should i do if your friends are fighting over some guy?

omg! this is terrible!!! the school has just started and everything begun new, new friends, new impressions and of course new guys! 2 of my friends are in senior class and im beneath them but we're in one school. but it happened to be that they both like the same new guy who they know a little about. by their talk he seems to be sweet and little bit cute, to me he's just ordinary, i don't see anything special in him but i didn't want to hurt my friends by saying that. one of them chatted with him in class and online and stuff, the other one haven't talked to him properly yet and she shows that she's interested in him by saying his name loud and looking at him consistantly and all. but the one who talks seem to have more chance, but the one who doesn't talk to the guy noticed that my other friend like him as well, so now she's trying to put her into embarassing situations and trying to break her encourage. 3 of us are good friends and i don't want my friends getting hurt in the end and i want to keep their relationship between us. now i understand that wanting a new kid in your school is not something you wish for! what should i do?!

I think that you should say that they arent his type and u can try to find them another guy so they can take their mind off of him!

Tell them you don't like it when they fight over the same guy.  Let them work it out between them, let them know that there are plenty of other guys in the school and in the world for them.  Don't get too much in the middle of it though, because that won't be good.  Just tell them how you feel.  Eventually this situation will end.

tell them this. the number one rule of friendship:

never let a guy come between best friends.

i mean.. im sorry.. it might not work.. but seriously.. do you think this guy will matter in the future? do they see themselves marrying this guy? levae him alone. im sure hes got loads of other girls crushing on him.
