  1. Is that the 17th of September?

If so I wouldn't worry about it yet, they may not have got round to processing your application. Mine's only just come back and I sent it off in March! I wouldn't overly worry about it until 3 weeks before the start of term or when you're supposed to move in and you still haven't heard anything.

If it's the 17th of August then phone them up and see what's happening with it.

  2. At my school, financial aid isn't dispersed until AFTER school starts. The tuition/room/board deadline isn't due until after this date. Not really sure why they do it this way... perhaps it's for the people who want to drop out and recieve a full refund. No sense of dispersing $ to them if they're not going to use it? Perhaps, I don't really know though.

What you need to do is call the Financial Aid office (if there isn't one, or you can't find the number, call the Office of the Bursar) at your school. You can find it on your school's website or you can probably even look it up in the phonebook.

  3. They may not have received all of your application materials yet. Have you sent in a final transcript, shot record, and test scores? Make sure they have received everything. If you still can't figure it out, try calling the school's  financial aid department or send them an email and ask what you should do.
